What is an "Ozone Treatment"?

Ozone treatment is the use of the gas ozone (O3) to remove odors, bacteria, and viruses.

Our Ozone Treatment consists of placing an ozone generator in your vehicle for an hour; for the first 10 minutes we have the vehicle running with the AC on high. This allows the gas to penetrate through the vent system, thoroughly eliminating odors and bacteria/viruses*. After the completion of the treatment, we allow for the vehicle to air out for 30 minutes (simultaneously running the AC on high for 5-10 minutes); this allows all remaining O3 gas to revert back to oxygen. Since this is a gas and not a liquid, the ozone treatment allows the cleaning to happen throughout the vents and unreachable crevices, in addition to covering every inch of the upholstery.

Ozone (O3), also referred to as "activated oxygen", is the second most powerful sterilant in the world. When ozone comes into contact with contaminants such as odors, bacteria or viruses, they are destroyed completely by oxidation. Ozone then reverts back to oxygen after it is used, as the extra atom of oxygen is consumed and there is nothing left.
